Our Mission
Did you know the world’s first heart transplant was performed in Cape Town in 1967? Dr. Chris Barnard performed the revolutionary surgery that has since saved thousands of lives.
South Africa has world-class medical care today. Unfortunately, most people cannot afford it. Worldwide, 1 in 100 babies is born with a congenital heart defect (CHD - congenital heart defect). This condition can be fatal if it is not detected and treated early.

With your support, we fund life-saving heart surgeries and urgently needed ultrasound equipment for babies and children with congenital heart defects. In Pretoria and Bloemfontein, we work directly with the treating paediatric cardiologists and stay in close contact through our local partner in South Africa

Funds life-saving surgeries and critical interventions for children with heart conditions.
Medical Equipment
Provides hospitals with specialized pediatric cardiac care equipment.
Patient Support
Covers aftercare, medication, family accommodation, and rehabilitation.
