Our Mission
Did you know the world’s first heart transplant was performed in Cape Town in 1967? Dr. Chris Barnard performed the revolutionary surgery that has since saved thousands of lives.
Today, South Africa has world-class medical care, but unfortunately, it is a privilege that most people cannot afford. 1 in 100 babies are born worldwide each year with a congenital heart defect (CHD) - a potentially fatal condition if not detected and treated in time.

Where Your Donations Go
Every donation saves a child's heart in South Africa.
With your help, we fund life-saving heart surgeries and urgently needed ultrasound equipment for babies and children with congenital heart defects — directly on site in Pretoria and Bloemfontein. Through our direct contact person in South Africa, we maintain close communication with the pediatric cardiologists involved.

Funds life-saving surgeries and critical interventions for children with heart conditions.

Provides hospitals with specialized pediatric cardiac care equipment.
Patient Support
Covers aftercare, medication, family accommodation, and rehabilitation.

The costs for the association, such as for the website, flyers and stickers, are covered by membership fees.
